In addition, she also provided a site and a how to for finding the actual color at the end, so please do have a good look there too!

OKAY GUYS, HERE'S THE DEAL WITH CONTACTING ME ON TUMBLR, don't send me an ask there about this calculator unless you honestly can't figure something out. Also, if you have a question, check the second link below (which has answers to questions) to see if someone else asked something similar to what you want to ask.

On that note, please realize that I made this OVER A YEAR AGO (back in early 2011) and that NEW INFORMATION has come out since then in the comic and that Hussie has also released information that I never saw. Please don't contact me on tumblr to inform me about Karkat and limebloods or anything. Chances are I know by now, but thing is, I'm not planning on ever updating the calculator (except on an off chance when the comic ends and we have all the information about trolls, but don't get your hopes up).

I haven't really been spammed, but I do get the questions about it on occassion and I do feel like I've answered a couple of the same/similar questions, so. Also I'm not really exactly in the homestuck fandom anymore, so it's a bit weird sometimes to get the questions. I'm not trying to be rude, if you really need help with this, I'm willing to help, but it's still a bit strange and awkward for me.

I rarely get on deviant art anymore, so if you ask me on the journal entry, then I probably won't notice the message for another month! At least if you ask me through my tumblr, I should be able to get to the question within 24 hours!

Hey guys! I've noticed a few people messing up a little bit during calculations and with determining blood color!

When you calculate your sign, If you have FOUR/4 signs, divide by FOUR/4; if you have FIVE/5 signs, divide by FIVE/5!!! You want the average of your signs!

If you end up with a number above 12, then you've messed up in your math somewhere and the above is probably the solution!

And when you go to determine your blood color, don't round the number! if you have a 4.5, then you have a yellow-green blood color, not Nepeta's! (through rounding up)

Calculate Your Troll Blood Color! (For Homestuck fans~)

I was thinking about this during Anime Club and thought it would be cool to share it (because you can have so many signs that relate to the trolls it turns out!)

1.)First, you need to find out your 4/5 patron trolls (YES! I said 4/5). Here are the ones you need:

     -Star Sign: everyone probably knows their's, so this one's easy!~ If you don't, it's not hard to look up.

     -Moon Sign: use this www.lunarium.co.uk/moonsign/ca… to calculate it. (in all honesty, I played around with it and hour/minute doesn't really matter). You have to scroll down after you hit [Calculate Moon Sign].

     -13 Zodiac Sign: you know the new zodiac with Orphiuchetus (or whatever it's called)? Get your sign from that.

     -Chinese Zodiac Sign: I lined the Star Signs and Chinese Zodiac next to each other in the order scientists/astrologers put them in, now you need this (here's my cheat sheet ovo):
-Rat = Aries
-Ox = Taurus
-Tiger = Gemini
-Rabbit = Cancer
-Dragon = Leo
-Snake = Virgo
-Horse = Libra
-Goat = Scorpio
-Monkey = Sagittarius
-Rooster = Capricorn
-Dog = Aquarius
-Pig = Pieces
Please note that if you have a birthday in January/Febuary, you'll probably have TWO (2!!) signs for this, due to Western New Year and Chinese New Year (you'll  have to look up the day of Chinese New Year for your birth year though, for it changes yearly (but it's ALWAYS in Febuary))

2.)Now it's time to calculate, the following chart assigns a number value to each sign based on HEMOSPECTRUM order (so Karkat will be first), though it basically still follows Zodiac order. You will add all 4/5 of your values together and then find the average of them by dividing by the number of signs you have (if you have 4 signs; divide by 4, if you have 5 signs; divide by 5).
                -Cancer (Karkat) = 1
                -Aries (Aradia) = 2
                -Taurus (Tavros) = 3
                -Gemini (Sollux) = 4
                -Leo (Nepeta) = 5
                -Virgo (Kanaya) = 6
                -Libra (Terezi) = 7
                -Scorpio (Vriska) = 8
                -Oriphiuchus (n/a) = 8.5
                -Sagittarius (Equius) = 9
                -Capricorn (Gamzee) = 10
                -Aquarius (Eridan) = 11
                -Pieces (Feferi) = 12

3.)Once you get your average, then look at the chart above and compare the number value you get to the numbers of each character (though ignore Oriphiuchus, there is no character for it and therefore no blood color). Where ever you're number falls in comparison is where your troll blood color is, though it's not perfect and can be various hues where you are (for example, a 4.5 could be barf green or lime green/yellow-green)

Here's my calculation as an example:
-Star Sign: Pieces/Feferi (12)
-Moon Sign: Aries/Aradia (2)
-13 Zodiac: Pieces/Feferi (12)
-Chinese: Dog/Eridan (11)
12+2+12+11=37
37/4 = 9.25

Landtroll or Seatroll?!: if you end up with a number between 10 and 11, you maybe a bit confused by where you dwell. well, if it is 10.5 or higher then you are a seadwellar and 10.499999...etc. means you're still a landdwerllar!
