*EDIT* See My Lottery at my journal to win some of these! No Money or points necessary.Phew!
That took forever to paint.... And after I am finished, I have decided I don't like painting.....
I need to tweak the outer senshi wands just a little to be a better match in size with the others, but overall happy that I have em all there!
I created these by using 3d printing. I create a digital 3D model (following a few rules in order to be able to "print" them).
Then I upload that model to a company called shapeways. They use special printers that layer upon layer create my digital models into real life models. (here's a video! [link] ) Some cleaning is done and then it is shipped back to me, where I do any extra cleaning, sanding and fixing as needed before painting. The material I mainly use is Nylon plastic. A slightly porous but very versatile material and cost efficient.
these wands are close to a 1/4 scale and about the length of a small ladies finger.
See more pics and other items in my gallery and of course on my etsy where you can get your own.

sorry for late reply....
It was fun to do, painting is probably my least favorite part but I do love the finished look.

I use lightwave. 3D modeling is not easy, I went to a special school and have been doing it for 5 years.

I never for a million years thought that 3d Modeling would ever be easy but it is something that I have a high lever of intrest in. that being said it may take awhile but I am willing to learn how to do it. Congrat on how long you have been making dolls and other items I only hope that In 5 years I will have even half the talant you have. thank you for telling me about the soft ware. blessings to you

I am curious as to how much they cost to make even at 1/4 scale. Isn't 3D printing rather expensive?

Yes it's still a bit pricey. Give it a few more years and it will be awesome. I sell this set for 68$ at my etsy.

Unfortunately, bigger is much more expensive, 3d printing is volume cost. Thanks though.
