In the wastes of Athas, a lone rider protects himself and his crodlu mount, from one of the many scavengers...no need to waste effort and precious water, no need to fight...not when your mind can bend even the will of a scorpion to your bidding!Crodlu, one of the favoured riding beasts of the world of the Dark Sun. Tough deadly, dependable, but expensive.
The rider is experienced, no need to panic, as panic is a dangerous thing indeed in the wastes. So he calmly deals with the threat.
Dark Sun is a peculia setting for Dungeons & Dragons, one of the old ones that I love
made in Vue7 infinite, Poser/DAZ3D for creatures, post work in Photoshop.
Psionic Effect is a brush from the Rosity store, iirc, but can't recall the vendor, off hand, sorry!

Pyramid in the background had me thinking Tyr for a second, but looking closer I say Draj. Only two cities that have them, not counting the one in the ruins of Kalidnay.

Yeah, Dark Sun rocked! It was one of the better settings. Very different.
Love the Crodlu, I was always partial to Mekillots though.

Yup, it, Spelljammer and Ravenloft were awesome, IMHO, and Undermountain and the very first Forgotten Relams boxed set (after that the FR went downhill IMHO).

Meh, they supposed to be big beetles (or similar anyways). I loved Spelljammer, Dark Sun, and Planescape. I liked Forgotten Realms too, but not as much.
I liked the areas around the realms better (Kara Tur, Maztica, and Zakhara/Al-Qadim)

Well, mekillots were odd, like a sort of cockroach/beetle, with massive carapace that almost completely armoured it.
I preffered Undermountain to most of the Forgotten Realms, though normally I'm not into dungeon crawls
I'll need to do more Spelljammer art this year!
