I've been working quite a bit on my Steven Universe gemsona recently, and after years of drawing and having her, I finally made a proper design for her!
For a while, I was always changing things about her outfit and details, never really knowing what I wanted her outfit to look like.
And for a while I didn't even know what her gemstone was and I just called her Jules, since there were a few gems in the show that had nicknames, like Biggs and Snowflake. I eventually did research on black gemstones and came across Onyx's. I decided to make that her official gemstone since I didn't see a lot of other gemsona's that were onyx's.
I also did a LOT of research on the gemstone itself, and boy did it help in creating her and writing her story. Though, I still need to do more research and fully figure out and plan her story, and more about her as a person.
Gotta say, it's a little tricky making her, but I'm having a lot of fun!
