*Both being adopted by the same breeder Mink and Leo were matched for breeding before they had even meant. Placed in the same pen at young ages they formed a bond and found comfort in each other's company while they grew accustomed to their new environment.
Growing older and naturally depending on and trusting one another Leo and Mink had no qualms when it came to producing a litter together unfortunately ignorant to their impending separation when Mink became pregnant. Both trying desperately in vain to stay together Mink, eventually was forced to give birth in her prepped area alone. Due to the stresses of being a bit young and separated from the only dog she trusted Mink produced an almost completely stillborn litter with only two surviving pups (Vero + sibling).
Seeing each other from time to time, Leo and Mink got to spend moments together and he was able to meet his puppies, though happy times were brief. Eventually being moved from Vero and her sibling when they were old enough, Mink became depressed and like Leo, did not like or act on the idea of being paired with other partners.
The breeder frustrated with their behaviors adopted them out, again separating them from each other. Shortly after, Leo's new owners noticed he had gotten out and run away, while Mink settled into her new family and daydreamed about her love and children.
