He implied it to get away from Hannah. He doesn't actually mean it (even subconsciously). He was simply willing to do whatever it took to get away from his high school stalker.

I've considered editing it for the general 'family family' nature of my comics, but then I thought that maybe it's not that family friendly anyway since Ed's usually saying obscene things to random women anyway.
