TRAVEL IN STYLE: Part 6 of 10COMMENTARY: And now we've made it all the way back to the original artstyle of the very first "Simple Complications" back in July 2007. The comics were EXTREMELY simple back then, but my argument for that was that I didn't think you needed to have great artwork to tell a good story (in fact that's the whole reason I named my account SIMPLECOMICS) and I still stand by that. There are some books and shows out there that aren't exactly beautiful but they have good stories. That was and remains my goal for Simple Complications. And in case you're wondering about Seth's comment... yes, I designed their original appearances in less than a minute. My goal back then was "20 minutes or less" on making a comic start-to-finish.

Fully do I agree with you. People focus too much on appearance these days, and as a result many cartoons and movies that come out today suffer from weak and pathetic story-telling.
I mean, remember the Peanuts comics, those weren't fine art, but because the stories and characters were colorful and entertaining it is a beloved series and even has a whole museum dedicated to it.

No. I changed that to "Now and Then." His great discovery IS what's in the box. I just thought that "Now and Then" would be a better title since it takes place in past and the present. You'll see what I mean
