I've actually got a few things to say about this one. I may have changed the art style to the series, but because I never really even 'disliked' the one up until now, I didn't change it that much. I was reading through a lot of my older comics a couple weeks ago and realized that there were certain things about the old comics like I still like so I thought I could mix them together in a way that still made the comic look nice. Originally this arc was just going to be a "Special" extra-length page about about 10 panels, but I got nostalgic and stretched it out to show the progression of the styles in my comics and what they meant to me.

Only certain things changed. The biggest change is obviously the buildings in the background, but that's mostly because I wanted the city to feel like a city and not just a stage-curtain. And I added a tiny little glow to the characters (and characters only) to make them look a tad more alive than the world around them. (I got that idea from the special features on Finding Nemo where they described the challenge of making the fish look alive in the backdrop of an ocean.) But ultimately, the characters themselves are not going to look much different. They all have the same shapes and designs, just with a little highlight added (I call it their soul, lol). And since I still like the word balloons I've been using, I decided to keep it. One thing I took from the "Circle City" comics was the gradient sky. I never realized how much I liked the gradient sky until I went back and sifted through old comics for inspiration.

So here's the million-dollar question: what do YOU think of it?
