Heheh yeah it all wasy in black ink, didn't take too long... I used a massive sharpie
industrial strength heheh

My scanner didn't do it the best of justice to the true tones of the colours, and i'm out of editing software, so i was going to fade everything behind the tree a bit and make it more drab and burton like....
but i'm still pretty happy with how it turned out

there's you, the cheshie cat, tweedle dee and tweedle dumb, the mad tea party gang, and an ominous queen in the distance!

Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum totally remind me of "Corpse Bride" which makes me especially happy considering how much I adore that movie. The ominous queen is pretty awesome too.

Hehehe yeah I put some corpsebride in there
some coraline with the queen
and a little bit of creepy swedish experimental filmmaker with he taxidermy march hare hehe

i felt very fulfilled making this strange world
almost like it's the odd things and sort of adults Jenn-A-lice would have jumbled together in her dream mindscape

Heh, I can see a bit of the Other Mother in the queen too. It's funny, as soon as you said "taxidermy" with the march hare, I totally thought of Taxidermy from the "Lenore" comics and totally saw the resemblence there.
