Description   "So uh, she should be aware of our presence. She's changing so fast. We're ahead of schedule now." Great. I must have slept awkward; my neck was hurting like hell.
Holy shit this place was huge! I saw some of the guys from last night. What the hell happened to me anyway? Of course, I was only assuming it was the next day since there was absolutely no sunlight in the room.
"Uh, hey; you doing okay? We didn't mean to scare you last night." I stared into a set of bright blue eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine; neck's a little stuff but whatever. What exactly is going on?" I frowned.
"You're a vampire now. I know, it's not ideal but you're vital to us. There's about to be a war and you're here to help build the armies. I'm terribly sorry if we've taken you away from a good life, but like was were saying last night, we need you." He looked so sad when he talked."I'm actually pretty glad you all picked me to be, um, whatever I am to you. I couldn't stay homeless forever. Five years is long enough for a girl." I frowned at my pitiful life.
"How old are you? I mean, not to be nosey or anything I just want to know you." He slightly smiled.
"I'm just recently 21. I suppose a name would be customary as well. I'm Ekaterina technically, but I'd rather not be called that. It's so formal sounding, so EK would be great." I smiled.
"That's only possible if you understand that my name is James but I'm to be called Jimmy. And I'm 26 technically." Finally a laugh.
"Alright Jimmy, you know you're way too serious? So there's about to be a vampire war; I'll do anything you guys need that's within my power. You've given me a second chance at life." I never expected to see this boy cry, but I'll be damned if he didn't tear up at least a little right then.
"I don't think anyone has ever reacted like you have. This new life, for lack of better words, it isn't like the books. Very few things are completely accurate in the human world. I'm only so serious because if we mess this up we've cost you and many other your lives for nothing. We can not lose this war." His face was strikingly horrifying.
"Well then we won't lose. If there's one thing I've learned since I got kicked out it's that if it's worth fighting for you won't lose it. Jimbo, you're too good to let this get to you like it is. So no worries; what's my job here?" I smiled.
"I'll save that for later. You need to meet everyone else right now. They're anxious to meet you." He grinned and stood helping me to my feet.
"I didn't realize how tall you were before." I frowned up at him.
"Yeah I'm right around 6'4 or 6'5, I'm a little tall. But you're kinda short." His face was alight as he smiled.
"Hey now, I'm not that short! Man, I feel great now. I think I like being a vampire." I smiled pausing, "So the blood thing, how does that work?" I looked up at him walking down a long hall.
"It's like being hungry as a human. No burning throat, no crazy reactions to humans, you just feel hungry. We eat normal food, it's just not as filling, but it works for the moment. The only thing is that alcohol has very little effect on us. We don't really know what , it just doesn't Oh, and if you're ever hungry we keep a separate refrigerator full of any type you could dream of. Personally I enjoy O negative for a good dinner drink and something like AB positive for a sweet desert blood." He winked at me letting his fangs peek out between his lips.
"Kay." I whispered, getting slightly scared.
"Hey, if you're scared of the guys, they're no more intimidating than I am. Actually I need you to challenge Shads to a fight. Trust me, you won't lose." He winked down at me.
  "Um, okay?" I giggled.
I continued following Jimmy down the hall and into a large living room. The room was dark and spacious, filled with luxurious leather couches and recliners. The television covered an entire wall and a large glass coffee table was crowded with assorted bottles of alcohol.
It was completely dark aside from the flicker of the television. I saw a tiny motion in the corner of my eye and then the dimmed lights were on. Now I could see that the room was filled with boys and, of course, they were all staring at me. Great.
Jimmy gently placed a hand on my shoulder to comfort me. Finally I realized that these five men were the ones I had run into the previous night. The strongest looking one leaned forward, out of his chair, and smiled. I now had a bad feeling that he was the "Shads" I was supposed to fight. Shit!
"So how is she? Any problems brother?" the muscular one asked.
"She's better than we could have hoped. She's already excited to help, no strings attached." Jimmy smiled triumphantly.
"Good, good. So tell me, who are you?" he turned a sharp hazel stare on me.
"EK, I'm 21 and have been an abandoned teen for about five years now." I smiled lightly trying to lift the heaviness in the room.
"Okay then EK, nice to finally meet you. We've been waiting a long time for this. I assume you've already spoken to Jimmy so I'll introduce myself. I'm Shads or Matthew." He paused, "please don't be nervous around us. We're your family now. Join the party!" he smiled showing bright white fangs.
I took a seat on one of the couches beside a thin boy with shaggy black hair and brown eyes. He smiled slightly and stuck out a band for me to shake.
"Technically I'm Brian, but I also go by Syn. Nice to have you with us." He lifted my hand to his lips and kissed it softly.
"Hey now, I'm the adorable one you fucker, don't be kissing up on my new lady friend." A slight man with black, orange, and white hair laughed, "I'm Johnny and you're my new buddy, 'cause you're short!" I laughed.
"And I tend to go by Zacky. So here's the deal, there's the war, you're a vampire and we need you to help lure in some reinforcements. And by 'need you to help' we mean you get to be the lucky bitch that is chocked full of a special venom that is going to change people into vampiric demons instead of normal vampires. That's why we had to have you specifically. You're our key to winning. Let's put it this way, your venom isn't like ours. We make vampires out of humans. They still think for themselves and look completely human. You can just look at someone and they're done for. If you choose to make a demon as soon as you choose them they begin changing. Black will overcome them and they will be under your control."  Zacky's wicked smile was mirrored by everyone. "You're dangerous EK, but you can also be completely harmless. It's your mind and choices that are dangerous. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
"Yeah. I think I want someone dead or demonized their fate is sealed. I'm a force to be reckoned with." I grinned devilishly.
"You've got it. But so you know vampires are immune to your venom since we all have venom of our own. Yours is just like a drug to me." Syn smiled.
"Alright, now I'm ready to get started." I giggled
"That's our girl. Now that all this business is out of the way I wanna be normal." Johnny laughed picking up a fresh beer and plastic bag of blood, "Liquid meal right here!" he laughed again draining the contents of the bag into his beer.
"I have one more thing before we chill. Shads, I'm picking a fight with you mother fucker!" I grinned over at him.

Lmao. I speak French...slightly. XD I've been taking it for two years and have managed to use the sentence "Synyster Gates et Zacky Vengeance jouent de la guitare" enough times that the teacher used a picture of them for one of our activities XD

lolz! I took Spanish for three years and we ridiculously pissed when I found out it won't fit in my schedule this year or next. But I just learned a lot of really random basic sentences. The ones I do know, I can adapt to most situations.lol
That's pretty fucking cool; I don't think the French teacher at our school would ever do something like that. She's a hateful old bitch.lol

Aw, that sucks. If I keep taking the advanced classes teachers stick me in for all of high school, the only other classes I can take are orchestra and French. But the good news is that I don't have to take gym my last year. C:

XD At our school, it's the English teachers who are all bitches.

Simplistic2112 In reply to Breezetail [2011-03-20 04:43:51 +0000 UTC]

lol I had to take gym this year(my junior year) for the first semester since we do block and we're only required to have one gym credit. And I do band/auxiliary so I have my fine arts credits in the bag. But I'm pretty sure no one likes gym.

Most of the teachers at Hoover aren't so bad...there's just that select group that's a total pain in the ass.

Breezetail In reply to Simplistic2112 [2011-03-20 19:59:32 +0000 UTC]

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure we only have to take the first semester of junior year for gym. A lot of people take it as the 0 hour class, but that means going to school early...

Yeah, and our select group is English teachers. XD Every single one of them.

Simplistic2112 In reply to Breezetail [2011-03-20 23:30:30 +0000 UTC]

We can actually take our gym credit whenever we want. I thought I was gonna get my gym credits through .5 credits but they quit doing them after my freshmen year. So yeah...I got jewed into taking it my junior year.

Breezetail In reply to Simplistic2112 [2011-03-21 11:46:38 +0000 UTC]

Aw, that sucks. We have to get 2.5 credits, so that's 2 full years and a semester. Best to just get it over with, in my opinion.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Simplistic2112 In reply to Breezetail [2011-03-21 20:21:20 +0000 UTC]

For some reason, I feel a huge urge to post an essay I wrote about Jimmy's death. But it failed. I'm writing this story, which is really weird.

Haha I will post it someday. Actually that happens to me all the time, people say it's wonderful, but I think it's failure, and I don't get people when they think it's good.
This story is actually a request for my best friend, but I decided to make it a longer story, since it's all in my head now.
