About two months into starting to draw, I decided to try and draw people. I took another online course starting over 4th of July weekend which gave an overview of figure drawing. It's tough, but super fun! The left image is the first figure I drew for it. I call it "Elegy for Lobster Lady." At the end of the week of practicing and studying I produced the image on the right. The different is so striking! Far from perfect, but also pretty dang good for someone starting out, if I do say so myself. I'm thrilled at what even a few days of practice and repeating exercises and paying attention can do and look forward to continuing this.

When I joined DeviantArt it was to share my Sims 4 comics. I didn't expect to fall so far in love with all of you amazing people's art, so I decided to try and do traditional art myself. I plan on sharing other images from my traditional art journey in this gallery, more to encourage others who are curious about dabbling in drawing than anything else.
