Thank u! I don't really know what i was aiming for in this piece, i feel like the eyes are too high up but i followed the anatomy of an irl skull so it looks weird to me since its not really stylized like i am used to.

I found out giving the eyes the same color as the bg is always a good idea, kinda stands out <33

I didn't notice anything I'd with the eye placement so don't worry about that. Maybe if you put it next to a more stylized drawing you'd react to it but it in its own.

Yes it does indeed pop! The darkness of the coat makes the bg look glowing almost. If a darker area like that had been in the hat also it would've popped even more I think. Otherwise it's a very nice palette

Imma share this lil secret with u, but the best thing to do when u take a base color BG and want the rest of the drawing to blend in (I.E vaughn) SAI has a cool option for this:

Insert base BG color at the end of one of the toolbar and the normal color of skin or anything else you use at the start, it'll give you a range of colors to work with in the middle and it'll fit nicely into the drawing.

It really helped me with balancing out an entire drawing, i suggest you try it yourself to see if you like it too. *_*

That is really useful! I should really start to explore sai more, and not just use the basic brushes and settings. Thank you for the tip!
