This is what happens when you watch Coraline and then read King Leopold's Ghost.The history of the Congo Free State, and later the Belgian Congo, is a terrifying one that will make you sad and angry. Belgium got rich and powerful off the blood and sweat of millions of enslaved Congolese. To this day, Congo remains poor and despotic, thanks to western interference.
