I was wondering when Seph was going to show up. XP I love how he confesses to an even more awful crime involving more people and they seem so disinterested. Screw the peasants! The presidential candidate was almost assassinated!

As soon as you mentioned him bringing flowers, the idea of a knife bouquet moved into my brain and refused to leave.
If you'll recall, Seph was mentioned way back in comic #1, and I knew that eventually he'd have to put in an appearance. And since this one lacked a punch line, I thought I could have two of the most iconic video game monsters spend a night in jail trading stories. And since PH is here to stay, that gives me a lot of room to add other folks with less infuriating designs. I'm already working on Maria and James.
The idea behind his "alibi" is to reinforce the notion that everyone in this world has a twisted sense of ethics. Nobody raises an eyebrow at the use of nuclear bombs, Restrictor implants people with chips, robbing them of their individuality, and so on. It's fun to play in a world where genocide and depravity are so common. I pretty much have to go over the top.
