Oomozu! Fortune Up! Foretold! Forbidden! Forever! Kamen Rider Omen!During the organisation NOAH's attempts to weaponise inner demons, they researched multiple different strategies in addition to Masumi Karizaki's Vail Driver. One avenue they pursued was the Daikichi Driver, intended to allow the user to summon and control imitation demons using the power of their own inner demon; however, the technology was deemed a failure thanks to the high strain it placed on its user and the inability to properly control the summoned demons. Following the downfall of NOAH, the Daikichi Driver was at some point retrieved and refashioned into the Daikyou Driver, reducing its strain and allowing its user to transform into Kamen Rider Omen.
Kamen Rider Omen uses the shrike-based Oomozu Vistamp to transform, attaching it to the top of the Driver's Fortune Tower before pulling it to the side as a lever. By using other Vistamps, she can perform a Binding Up, summoning their respective Deadmans to aid her; however, the more Deadmans she summons, the greater the strain and the less likely they are to follow her commands. She additionally wields the Inkblastaff (インクブラスタッフ, inkuburasutaffu), an inkbrush-themed weapon that doubles as a staff and a sniper rifle. By inscribing kanji on foes with the point of the Inkblastaff, Omen can inflict various effects upon them; she can also use Vistamps on the weapon to imbue her strikes with their power. Omen's main finisher is the Oomozu Fated Finish, a rapid series of kicks that bind the foe in ink-like ribbons of energy before constricting and crushing them.
Matching Revice's art motifs, Omen is themed around Japanese calligraphy , sumi-e (Japanese ink painting), and omikuji fortunes ; dai-kyō (大凶, "great misfortune") is the worst possible omikuji result. Omen's concept changed considerably from when I first conceived her; initially, she was Kamen Rider Grim, themed around a grimoire and using the Starfish Vistamp, with her gimmick being that she used stamps based on famous monster generals (such as Apollo Geist, N-Daguva-Zeba and the Kyoryu Greeed). As Omen, I planned for her to be crow-themed, but a friend suggested shrikes as a reference to how bad omikuji fortunes are typically pinned to trees. I also intended her to have a personal demon called Crowley, but I couldn't figure out the design and the concept felt redundant with the rest of Omen.
