Description
RAPTROS- Faction: Mutant Menagerie
- Fatally crippled by another monster, the Raptros couple collapsed into the sea, sinking beneath the waves. It was a joyous moment for all concerned — both dragons had fallen, and being swallowed up by the waves they had no chance of return. Unbeknownst to everyone, however, the couple had left behind a legacy: a single egg, buried within the Earth's crust. Soon, a newer, deadlier Raptros, incubated by geothermal heat, hatched and grew to a greater size and ferocity than his parents ever could. Not long after the second alien invasion touched down, the hatchling, now fully grown, spread his wings and took to the sky for the first time…
- Raptros both inflicts and resists Fire damage, taking reduced damage from being burned and gaining energy from it. He is weak to Ice, taking increased damage from being frozen, and slightly slowed by cold attacks.
- Raptros will ignite the ground beneath him for his short-range special as before, but the blast will also set the ground under him on fire and wreathe him in flames. He deals additional Fire damage on top of his melee damage and burns enemies that touch him, but gradually loses health over time until the effect wears off. He will also leave a trail of flames behind him while he runs or flies, burning monsters that come into contact with them. Note that this effect does not increase his melee damage power, unlike his taunt, and does not grant him energy - he must be set on fire by enemies or hazards to benefit from it.
- In a similar vein, his ranged attack and long-range special will also set anything they touch on fire, including objects, terrain, and other monsters and minions. The long-range special diminishes in power the further its victim is from him, though.
- Raptros now has a quadrupedal stance, walking on his wings and back legs (like the Jabberwock from Tim Burton's 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie), leaving his forelegs free to grab objects or enemies. When dashing, he rises up on his back legs and runs with his body parallel to the ground, like a theropod dinosaur; he can also jump while dashing, pushing himself off the ground using his wings and increasing his flight speed temporarily.
- If Raptros grabs an enemy monster or heavy object, he can now carry them into the air by mashing the jump button. This uses up a lot of energy, however, and he can't stay airborne for long while carrying large weights in his claws. He can, however, lighten his load by simply dropping the object, which deals damage if it lands on an enemy monster as though it were thrown. If he drops an enemy monster from a high enough altitude, they take fall damage.
- If knocked into water, hit by a water attack, or exposed to rain, snow, or acid rain, Raptro's flight speed will be slightly reduced for a short period from getting his wings wet.
- Alternate Skins:
- Green Death (recolor) - Green fire breath
- Jabberwock - Default roar but higher pitched with gurgling SFX; purple fire breath
- Dracolich - Default roar but echoey with bone creaking SFX; black fire breath
- Phoenix King - Peacock sound effects + vulture sound effects
- Gryphon - Hawk sound effects (e.g. that stock cry used for every raptor on TV)

Very curious the story of Raptros, the one that you took into account that there were two Raptros that appeared in the adventure mode, and more strange that one of them was female and this Raptros is actually a descendant, like Preytor.
I love the new design you gave it, it has a more menacing aspect, especially the flaming detail of its wings, and what of its attack incendario catches my attention, some monsters should have something like a kamikase attack.
I love the Jabberwock skin, although it is a strange touch for the jacket, although that gives Wonderland that touch, but what I LOVE most is the griffin skin, I love that mythological creature, apart from reading about fire breathing griffins.

Reference guessing:
-Jabberwock = Fairly obvious
-Phoenix King = That old plastic feathered pterosaur Chinasaur
-Gryphon = Name is in the title

- Green Death: Just an update of the green and yellow recolor from the first game.
- Jabberwock: Specifically, this was a combination of the 2010 Tim Burton version and the original woodcut by John Tenniel. I know DinoHunter2 thought of a possible Jabberwock Raptros skin at one point before settling on the Jersey Devil, but seeing the 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie has given me an appreciation for the Jabberwock in general. Plus, Raptros' wing-walking stance with the forearms free to grab stuff is an homage to that specific depiction.
- Dracolich: The skeleton skin from the first game, which was fairly popular among the fanbase. Not really based on anything specific, though the Dracolich from Forgotten Realms was the source of the name.
- Phoenix King: While there's a bit of that toy in there, I have a new monster planned who will homage it much more clearly. This skin is actually a combination of the Fenghuang, or Chinese phoenix, and the Hai-Riyo, a Japanese mythical creature with a bird-like body and the head of a dragon. The color scheme is specifically a reference to the Fenghuang on the Twelve Symbols National Emblem from the World War I era.
- Gryphon: The bipedal stance is specifically an homage to how griffins in heraldry are often shown rearing up on their hind legs.

Ah, Raptros, my favorite among the original roster. You deserved better.
I didn't really change very much here - if he ain't broke, don't fix 'im. I just enhanced what made him work and tweaked his build a tad to look more convincing. His wings in particular got beefed up because he uses them to smack people around a lot in the original game, and although the current pose isn't indicative of this, they're now walking limbs like Movie!Smaug so he doesn't look like he has to flap them constantly to avoid faceplanting onto the street. I also worked some actual horns into his ear-frills, since his skeleton skin from the first game showed that he had them but I couldn't really make them out in his actual design.
