Sorry this is a super big file.This is the tutorial that I made for people with gimp that want to start to do manipulations.
It shows you how to do a lot of stuff in Gimp, and it also shows you some tricks that I use in all of my manips.
Tell me if you like it or not because I may make more of these in the future.

How do you paste the picture in? Copy and paste?? Because I tried that and it said no images in file to paste...

you open up the picture of the model in a new document and copy (ctrl c) and paste (ctrl z) onto the picture of the background.

Nice tut. But personally I don't think that JPG is the best format for saving pictures in good quality, I always use PNG (and .xcf of course).

Oh yeah I use png for certain things, but jpg is just something I use more often. I've also found its a pretty general thing that a lot of people use so I thought it may be helpful for people to know if they have never done gimp before and don't really know what to use for saving options.
