Description
My submission for the Project Rooftop Spider-man redesign competition, I didn't place but I was on the top of the honorable mentions list so I think that technically makes it 4th place (so close!). I swear, one of these days I will make it into the top three! hahasomething I added: whenever he gets his spider sense hit mask and eyes light up, just a cool thought I had.

Very cool costume! I really dig the hood idea and the 'light up mask' idea is great (a whole lot better than, say, partially showing the spider mask on Peter or the squiggles on the full mask; this also means that if he has a partner, like how Ultimate Spiderman worked with Ultimate Shadowcat for a while, or The Human Torch and Ice-Man, then they can also get some warning too, since seeing his mask light up would tell them there's danger, and if they're expecting it, then they are more likely to be able to respond.
As for the actual design of the suit, I like the black instead of blue or purple; the red with webbing is almost a must for Spiderman (Spiderman 2099, and Spiderman in all black being two exceptions for me); while the gold is a great accent, something I learned from the Iron Spiderman costume (the only thing I actually liked about it besides the mecha-arms (and there should have been four, not three)), and I especially like how the golden symbol ties into the hood and the lines down his back and legs. The notion that you can actually see where the spider tracers go makes a lot more sense than Spiderman reaching into his waistline for stuff. He could also change out the tracers for other things, like extra-webbing cartridge containers, since he has web shooters (not organic, built-in web shooters like some versions), or 'web grenades', or any number of things designed into the same small disc-shape. Where does he keep the tracker though? Speaking of storage, if you don't have anything else built in, you could have special pockets built into the hood (not very convenient, but probably a little more comfortable than, say, sticking a pen in your waistband... or a calculator (that's about the size of his trackers whenever I've seen them)).
