The entire time I was drawing it I was like drowning in feels mentally screaming "WHY AM I DOING THISFADJFHASKASKAKA AAAHHHHASHAJKSHJKFW" it was awful

yeah, I don't really have the talent either but I keep trying and trying and trying till something works. It's all just practice
For me I wasn't improving for awhile and got really annoyed with it. So when I found my favorite artist ever, I started asking her questions, and that motivated me to try different styles and really make an attempt to improve. Each drawing doesn't improve immediately, but I look back at ones that I did even just last year and there's a big difference. So if you just practice you'll be able to draw feely feel drawings sooner than you know it =3

That's true! I try hard not to get frustrated. I haven't been drawing as much because each time I draw I feel this major stress to improve and if I don't see or feel improvement I get all discouraged .___. I used to just draw all the time for fun.

Just sit down and try doing some quick sketches. Don't worry about improving, don't worry about them looking just right, just sketch. It really helps. I'm trying to break out of a 'strictly anime' state of mind which is what I was in for a number of years. Just within the last hmm.. six-ish months or so I realized there's so much more outside of anime. I still love drawing it, goodness knows I draw chibis more than anything, but what I learned when I started drawing everything else is that it's really fun to have a reference picture and just sketch it as fast as possible. Don't worry about details, just get the basic shapes and layout, and do it with multiple different pictures. Not really sure how it managed to help, but it did.
And drawing should just be fun! If you're happy with how you draw stick with drawing how you are, if you want to improve it just takes practice. You'll figure it out. Art's not a competition to find out 'who's best' or 'who can get "better" faster' it's about having fun and expressing yourself =3

I try to get outside of the box myself xD Which is why I sometimes try background pictures so I can improve at nature and all that. I need to work with indoor environments as well.
I think it's because back in the day I used to get trolled for how bad my art was, and I guess some of it stuck with me xD;; I'm working on getting over it

Aww, that's terrible!!! I hate that people think it's okay to bash someone's artwork just if they don't like it. It's good that you're working on getting over it though. I would hate to see someone stop drawing just 'cause a few people were complete jerks

For a long time I wanted to, but I realized many artists used to be in my place and they became fantastic, so I just hope that one day I'll get there too xD
