Does this creature regurgitate on it's victims the way a fly does to start the digestive process and then slurp it up in a disgustingly nauseating way, or does it just tear the flesh off it's screaming, disemboweled prey? Either way, it looks like a terrible way to go. Fantastically gruesome! 5/5!

This is all vowel sounds here. Lots of "ooOOoo!" and lots of "eewwww!". Utterly repellent and so very clever.
I really like how the beastie's surface has turned out. A glinting kinda chitinous feel to it but with an impression of almost human-like skin stretched far too taught across it. Yuck! This really squicks me every bit as well as those classic Tim White cover illos on the Grafton edition Lovecraft Omnibus books from the '80s.
I've gotta ask - do you find yourself effected by it at all while working on it? Do you sometimes sit back for a sec and get a "eww lookathat!" moment from a touch you've just completed?
