Very nice job

Ah a phoenix, classic choice for fire, but a beautiful bird. Great job on the colors for it

Phoenix? Hmm I wonder why you picked a blazing bird.

I love the blue that you added!

that blue helps with color harmony, its called beauty spot design, where you use small parts of the picture in a complementary colour to the rest, and it draws attention to those spots, they stick out.

Hmm, I have some markings on my dragons muzzle. Is that also a example? Or are they too dark.

Complementary colours in small doses to make "beauty spots" kinda helps out a lot too

Sometimes I wish that I could keep all of the theory and Best-methods for art (like complementary colors!)
up front in mind while creating instead of trusting "look" and "instinct" to look after the basics. Oh well.

but those instincts serve you so well, just look at your gallery!
