Newcomers to the Autobot team would say that Signal Flare is just an upgraded Generibot. Not only is this hurtful, it's technically inaccurate. She, like the Generibots, is the child of Roulette, but she was the first, and the base for her many brothers and sisters. Needless to say, this claim that she's an upgraded minority-bot makes her feel more common than dirt and useless. This makes the relationship between her and her mother and friends such as Highbrow and Throttler difficult since they cannot convince her that she is special. This causes her to seldom show up on the battlefield even though she is potentially powerful.

The sad little character of Signal Flare is based off of Arata Kohata's supposed Other Self from Black Rock Shooter. Seeing that poor creature get beheaded in her first few moments of life really made me feel sorry for her, so I gave her more of a chance at survival, and a cooler design. I think this one actually resembles movie Arcee a bit. Oh, and the Generibots are gonna resemble her in the fact that they have a unicycle base instead of legs and feet.
