Okay well theres this handy dandy magic wand (right next to the Lasso tool) that selects a group defined by your lineart. To fill in the un-selected bits you use SelPen and SelEras. Also if you've already colored the basics for your beautiful hair and you need to shade and highlight, you can make another layer and check "Clipping Group" and it will stay inside the color boundaries of the layer below it :3
