This is merely a table showing the various methods of Pokemon evolution with examples on the right hand side.

The two at the bottom are made up by me. The first of which shows an example of 'convergent' evolution where two separate pokemon are able to evolve into the same pokemon. This shouldn't be confused with 'fusion' - which is the second made up evolutionary method. It's a bit like how flying foxes (mammals) and flying squirrels (rodents) are so similar with how they've adapted and yet they are completely separate species.

nb. I'm not listing the specific ways of evolution (eg. stone, attack>defence, trade) - just the progression (ie. split (divergent) evolutions, 3 stage evolutions, single stage evolution, etc).
