To my knowledge, they only ever won one gold medal... because the competition ended in a three-way tie.

So if Dread Baron and Dick Dastardly are related, does this mean that Orful Octopus is related to Squiddly Diddly?

It took me years to realize that most of the Rottens were specifically created for the show. All these years I was wondering what Hannah-Barberah cartoons had they come from.

Even though I always preferred Dick Dastardly, the Dread Baron was an entertaining villain in his own right.

Here's an interesting bit of trivia. Dick Dastardly and Dread Baron are twin brothers. But one question remains: who's the evil twin?

Trick question they're both evil
and also this comment is 3 years late

I just downloaded "Yogi Bear and the flight of the spruce goose" it was weird, plus Dread Baron was voiced by Paul Winchell and at one point Mumbly spoke english in a British accent (probably to mock Dread Baron because he complained that all Mumbly ever does is mumble)

I think Mumbly might be more clever and smarter than Muttley.

Maybe Mumbly became a villian because shnooker kept taking the credit for the stuff Mumbly does so he called it quits and ended up with dread baron.

you know...i have actually never seen that. i condemed most of the "new" things that came out after say...1982 cuz it was all so bad, but i would like to see dread and mumbly. Paul Winchell? isn't that the right voice?

I plan on a "demotivational" that shows a pic of Dread Baron and Mumbly from that Spruce Goose movie with the caption, "When I open my eyes I see Dread Baron, when I close my eyes I hear Dick Dastardly!" Well it is because Paul Winchell voiced that lawyer friendly version of Dick Dastardly in the movie.

YEP!

In "Yogi Bear and the magical Flight of the Spruce Goose" Paul Winchell DID voice Dread Baron!

made him too much like Dick Dastardly too!

if I was capable to send huge files through E-mail then I'd be delighted to send you that file... and send another friend a file of the lost 80's movie "TWICE UPON A TIME"

oh and by the way... of the Hannah Barbara superstar 10 movies... WHY ARE THE SCOOBY DOO ONES THE ONLY ONES ON DVD!!! I mean Jetsons meet the Flinstones was one of the 10!

well according to Wikipedia, there was going to be a Wacky Races movie in the superstar 10 called "Around the world with the Wacky Racers" but the reason why it was cancelled and used for "Scooby Doo and the Relunctant Werewolf" is probably the same reason why Dread Baron and Mumbly were in that Yogi Bear movie!

Pretty good!

btw did u ever see "Laff-a-lympics Munich" on ROBOT CHICKEN?

at one point, Snooper asks Fondoo what he's doing here and he replies he doesn't even know why he's here, Hanna Barbera didn't have many villians in their shows so they make up new ones.

If HB had the really rottens made up of characters from other shows, they should use Dastardly and Muttley instead of Dread Baron and Mumbly... and some Scooby Doo's enemies, especially the creeper and charlie the robot....oh and Hooden Claw! Or how about the Chopper bunch from Wheelie and the Chopper bunch? Well the Daltons HAVE to be Quick Draw's enemies, also isn't Mr. Jinx technically a villian? He's on Yogi's team! Wow, I guess making up a really rottens team is very hard!

Then again if Daisy Mayhem is on the team... who can complain?

I had another theory about Mumbly on the team, he might be undercover and once the time is right... he can arrest Dread Baron.

well, although Mumbly had was a detective on his shortlived show, he did have a mean streak. he was not like super nicey nice on his show then suddenly he was a villain on LAL. so it totally fits. i believe Mumbly and Muttley are brothers and Mugger is their dad. also, i believe that Precious Pupp is their cousin as well as Sludge from the Yogi's Space Race show, another show that instead of using DD and Mutt, used totally made up and new villains. Hooded Claw is a great addition. i agree he should have been there, but i love the made up one...like Magic Rabbit

Hey Hey, how about Klunk and Zilly should be part of the really rottens?

My dream Really Rottens who are not made up characters

1 and 2. Dick Dastardly and Muttley (Team Captain) the way it should've been!

3. Hooded Claw (trying to off Penelope Pitstop is a REALLY ROTTEN thing to do)

4. Klunk

5. Zilly (He would dislike the scooby doo villians due to his cowardly nature)

6. Creeper or that zombie guy from "Scooby Doo"

7. Ghost Clown (aka Harry the Hypnotist) from "Scooby Doo"

8. Mr. Jinks because he is technically a villian and "hates those meeses to peeses" Even though he's on Yogi's team.

9 and 10. The gruesome twosome in the Creepy Coupe. big gruesome and little gruesome... aren't they the villian type?

11 through 13. the creeplys because they look alot like the Gruesomes from "The Flintstones"... plus The Great Fondoo from Robot Chicken was right, there weren't better hanna barbara villians to round out the really rottens. So what do u think?

any comments about my dream rottens?

Technomaru In reply to slappy427 [2009-01-18 00:16:00 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, Hooded Claw should've been in the Really Rottens, he's really rotten for wanting to "off" Penelope Pitstop"

btw one episode of the anime "Nurse Witch Komugi" ACTUALLY has Lazy Luke in his car, minus blubber bear. I heard that WACKY RACES is THAT popular in Japan, DD and M were even parodied in a episode of "Digimon Frontier"

but still, Mr. Jinx should've been on the Really Rottens since he is technically a villian and "hates those meeses to peeses"

the real reason why I have been watching HB shows is because they remind me of a time when TV shows were cool and watchable, but now those days are over. Plus they also did Pac-man, Yogi's treasure hunt" and Superfriends. technically are CN shows like Dexter's Laboratory and Ed, Edd, n Eddy the last reminants of HB?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

slappy427 In reply to Technomaru [2009-01-18 02:54:52 +0000 UTC]

yes...they are technically HB since it was their contest to create your own cartoon came from that studio. but it i think is more recognized as the cartoons that CN built.

Technomaru In reply to slappy427 [2009-01-18 04:33:28 +0000 UTC]

so technically... Ed, Edd, n Eddy are HB characters?

in other notes, I noticed the reason why DD and M couldn't be used in some HB projects is similar to why Joker and Penguin couldn't be used in Superfriends despite appearing in the scooby doo episodes with Batman. However eventually in "Super Powers Team: Galactic Guardians" Joker eventually appears as Darkseid's henchman and Penguin was Felix Faust's cellmate. So HB had to use Riddler and Scarecrow but Filmation did use a thinly recognized red-suited Riddler on their Batman show.
