This photo was taken in April, days before we had to put Shadow, the German Shepard mix, down. He had been diagnosed with cancer weeks before, and there was nothing we could do, but watch him and take care of him. He would have turned thirteen this past June. The dachshund is Daisy, who turned three this past February. They were both like little kids and acted just like siblings.
