I've started a game-of-the-month club with a couple of friends. This month we're playing Earthbound. I didn't have an SNES as a kid, so I'm experiencing the joy of this game for the first time. It's really great, but there are plenty of, ah, darker moments and themes that seem to be a bit out of place in what I thought was going to be a rousing romp through a land of sunshine and happiness.Related content

There's a reason behind all the darker moments of this game. I've never played it myself, but I've watched videos about creepy game stuff and this game was one of them. I won't say anything as it'll ruin the game.

Haha oh man no none of the Mother games are 100% sunshine all have some really dark/harsh themes in them-3 goes a bit far with it for reasons you'll find in....all of Chapter 1. All of it.
