For the many battles I have fought
The rage, the riddles, the whole lot
I've claimed to be so much alone
But you listened when I moaned

For the days when I'm not feeling so great
When dreams are quick and promises late
Hollow words rattle out of my shell
That I'm surrounded by ne'er do wells

But I want to set this record right
I want to make it ever known
You've kept me through the darkest nights
Because of you, I am never alone

And every girl's torrid dream
Is to paint for the world a dismal scene
My rantings depict a spoiled gloom
Fit enough to seal my social tomb

And there are days that I can't pretend
I'm not waiting and hoping for a swift end
But through it all I find my chums
Who lift me up when I'm feeling glum

But I want to set this record right
I want to make it ever known
You've kept me through the darkest nights
Because of you, I am never alone

You've put up with wretched rhymes
And melodramatic shit a thousand times
I owe you my sanity, my life, my fate
I'm giving you my thanks before it's too late

For highs and lows, you are still around
