Description
So I'm not totally crazy, but it does look like some of my "grey girl" issues are result what appears to be SSS changes between Daz 4.8 and 4.9. I saw some interesting forum posts about making base textures greenish and allowing the SSS to "heat" the skin back up. At the moment, well over my head, but I'll just leave this here in case any of you experience similar problems.Any feedback or suggestions on how to work around this in the future is greatly appreciated!

Yeah ! I found it : the problem come from the new version of iray (version 2015.3.2) :
"Fixes made to the implementation of Sub Surface Scattering (SSS) in the NVIDIA Iray renderer affect materials which have "Translucency Weight" active—not set to 0. This manifests in skin tones appearing more blue than they do in 4.8.
A quick adjustment that can be made during the BETA phase is to adjust the "SSS Reflectance Tint" from a light blue to a light yellow—R: 1.00, G: 0.88, B: 0.67. Adjust this value to your liking.

Thanks! I had eventually found it - though I'm still myself trying to understand exactly how that works out, and how to tweak it going forward with more success/diversity in the skin tones!

Naturally, you have to adjust values to obtain the best results with the skin that you choose and the render that you want.

I'm read something about this on daz (but don't remember if it was on daz studio forum or on the docu pages from daz). In substance, what I'd read : some adjustments are necessary on surfaces (the settings were specifically indicated to prevent skin colors are too gray). I will research the page
and will tell you as soon as possible...

I'm using a 64 bit system, but I'm now back to 4.8 myself.
