Just a little something I did between character designs, featuring Lightning and Peach Tea as fillies!

As you can see, small Lightning Burst is venting (whining) her distress to a concerned Peach Tea over Cider Pop making fun of her at recess. I think I'd say they're about 9 and 12 or so years old here? (This is probably around the time Cider's teasing of Lightning really started to become a full-force habit.)

Since I feel like Peach is old enough to not really be in the same class or anything as Lightning or Thunder, this interaction probably happened during a visit to Auntie Fluttershy's after school or something. (I added in the background to fit this idea better, since the original background was just white lol.)

Anyway, it's not too much work really, but I personally had a lot of fun designing the alternate versions for when these two were younger!
You might notice that Peach wasn't growing her hair long yet, but kept it in her face more instead since she still hadn't fully come out of her shell as much, whereas Lightning's hair was long and loose without a headband in sight.
I actually imagine Lightning started keeping her mane short after some kind of prank gone wrong made her have to cut it when she was in her teens, and then felt like it actually was way more aerodynamic/got in her face less, so she decided to stick with it lol. I think this long hair version is cute though. ^ ^
