ThereΒ΄s delight, history, beauty and strength. About five photos in one!

That's how I felt when visiting this lovely village. I would also add 'overwhelming peace'. I'm just disappointed that the photo was taken with my old camera and that it was in the pre dA days when I was happy with a holiday snapshot! I think I will have to return and try again!!

This one is great! I wonder how I could have missed it before, the atmosphere of a sleepy street with heavy medieval towers in the back is really cool, thanks for sharing!

You've already seen a few - anything taken since August this year is new camera but, am still submitting some of the old ones.

And then the road gradually goes up - shadowed, deserted;
Wish to accomplish what is left - yet it's such an uphill task;
May be one day - one day this feebleness will pass, perhaps
and the light there will draw as fire to the insects.

You have the gift of being able to take a spiritual and moral meaning from photos whilst other people can see only a few old buildings. Actually being in the town instilled in me a sense of awe and a feeling of history all around. I could almost see the people from centuries ago walking the streets, going about their every day work. Your comment would perhaps echo what those people felt all those years ago.

I don't think it's THAT Chateauneuf but I'm sure they do have good wine - it's in the Burgundy region!!

Something learnt! Yours is Chateauneuf-en-Auxois, and I meant Chateauneuf-du-Pape and this is in the Rhone-valley

This looks like Belle's village in Disney's Beauty and the Beast movie. Pretty cool.
You capture its essence with this image.

Sadly have not seen the film but have just googled it and, yes, it could almost be modelled on Chateauneuf! Thank you for the lovely comment! Β
