Beautifull - though there are no sheep in spain!

Think there must be a few hidden away somewhere. I believe the famous Spanish Manchego cheese is one made from the milk of sheep so presumably there are a few flocks around, although I confess, I have never seen any!

Don't know that Manchego, but I'm sure Don Quijote would have liked it! I never was in Spain, but I see more goats than sheep in that hot and dry land. Maybe in the Pyrenees, where it is always cold and rainy how I've been told by Santiago-pilgrims

We saw goats (but no sheep) up in the Catalonian Pyrenees and the day we were there the temp was about 40 degrees C! It was also much the same in the French Pyrenees ... in September! Β Think the Santiago-pilgrims must have been sleeping those days

What a peaceful calm environment - far from the pandemonium of our usula city life. Hope both the sunrise and the sunset are glorious from here.

It is indeed peaceful up there. I imagine the sunrise would be wonderful: if you have seen my photo "Dawn of a New Day" fav.me/d6rel3f , that would give you an idea of whatΒ you could expect. The photo is taken looking towards the lighthouse, (although it's not in shot) but I have never been up at the lighthouse early enough to experience it. We did walk up there once, before breakfast (quite a climb) but that was in June and the sun had been up for a few hours. The sunset is, unfortunately, not over the sea but the sun sinks behind the hills in the opposite direction - just as nice but different!Β

Oh! sure it's beautiful. Very rarely there comes a sunset with so much pathos - I feel something has chocked my throat. That was a masterpiece (I mean the sunset you suggested). But this one, I mean El Far - this really soothes the mind, gives a kind of calmness.
I'm moved by both.

They are rather special aren't they. It's quite a climb up to this one and although I have walked up to it a few times, (when the joints were a little younger!) I now mostly take the easier option of driving! Each holiday though El Far is a "must do".
