I put this in my 'Bridges Etc.' folder... Hardly seems appropriate for such an iconic structure.

Nice shot! It is one of my wishes to visit this site and get my own pics one day.

Thank you . I would like to go back and get a better shot. This was taken pre digital days and am disappointed with the quality.

One day maybe!

Looks Ok to me, but digital goes straight to the screen, and film needs scanning. Always going to deteriorate in quality.

Not quite so difficult: a CD was offered with the prints for £1 and, thankfully I took advantage of the offer.

Thank you for the comment. You sound like a man who knows his bridges!! You're not an engineer are you? Or do you have the eye of an artist who observes? It is indeed very different from todays structures but I think it has a lot more character and beauty than some of todays bridges.

It shows it's old. Nowadays things aren't built to last.

Indeed and, Ironbridge is on the River Severn, notorious for flooding so it has stood up to British weather pretty well!
