200 hundred years old, Hall Brook Cottage was formerly a lock keepers cottage at Foxton Locks in Leicestershire, England.Foxton Locks, located on the Leicestershire branch of the Grand Union Canal is the largest flight of staircase locks (two flights of five) on the English canal system

Thanks. I love trips to Foxton Locks. It's always a great place to take visitors ... been there twice in the last six weeks!!

I second that! Wow, I am jealous. The last time I payed a visit was for an orienteering activity during sixth form, which was quite some time ago now...

That was brave of the teaching staff; allowing a load of sixth formers out near the locks! I bet it wouldn't be allowed these days Health and Safety would blow a fuse!! I and another student managed to get totally lost on an orienteering exercise in the Derbyshire Dales (also quite some time ago). The tutor was about to send out a search party when we appeared over the horizon, a mere 2 hours later than expected!
