Does the Old Town also have habitants or is it just for touristic visits.

I have to confess, I am not sure. There are quite a few old shops and cafes which may have flats above. The cathedral area will probably have clergy living there and there are quite a few old houses which may or may not have people living in them. When I visit again I will check it out!!

About 100 km. no motorways though so it takes almost 2 hours by car.

Its more difficult to come to Lincoln for visitors not from the island.

Yes but, for visitors to London who have a car, the M1 motorway comes to the Midlands and there is a link road to the Lincoln area. As it is quite a small island most places are within reach by public transport.

as London visitor I had so much in this town and less time for the rest of the island. If I had no business trips I would not see more. Pls apologize.

You have my sympathy. I may be British but I am not a fan of London. I think the UK has far nicer towns and cities.
