And it's far more of an adventure to think that Narnia may be behind the door in this photo! Β Oh, I'd so love to meet Mr Tumnus!!

Oh HelΒ ja! Β
Tummus hahaha, so sweet and kind such a polite faun. Aww. Β
I could swap stories and teas with that faun for hours, and although I don't play any woodwinds I do drum-
So clap your hands while keeping rhythm with your feet.
Although I think I would eat him out of house and home with out meaning to do so. . . ha oops.
Ahh! And sigh too. It'd be so fun! It'd be so relaxing. Oh it'd just be grand.Β Β Β Β
. . . But I think I'd get along better with the centaurs.
I'm told I can be a bit a- um. . .much? I don't know, I'm just me. ^_^
And I like this door, this is a good door.

The Centaurs!! I'd forgotten about them! Think it's time to root out the DVD!!
It is a great door isn't it and the good news is that there's another, almost identical door, just around the corner from this one.

Hi Coco. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. It's an area which is very special to us so, very pleased that you approve.Β
I know it's a bit of a long haul from Oz but, have you visited Catalonia and experienced the wonderful atmosphere there?

I think there is mystery behind every door. Once closed, all is unknown, no one knows what emotions lie the other side of that door: happiness, sadness, excitement, despair etc. Thank you for commenting Β

The blue background emphasizes the natural stone walls and the old wooden door in the shape of Moorish style.

Thank you for the comment - natural stone always seems to photograph well. I loved the shape of the door in this one - so unusual.Β

andersvolker In reply to smallsofthamish [2013-12-31 12:37:23 +0000 UTC]
Indeed a window eccentrically is unusual. Do you know the reason why?
π: 0 β©: 1
smallsofthamish In reply to andersvolker [2013-12-31 13:58:59 +0000 UTC]
Sorry no, I think it is probably a Romanesque style of architecture and pictures of medieval churches in the area show similar shaped doors, but with much more ornate stone sculpture around them.

andersvolker In reply to smallsofthamish [2013-12-31 20:54:41 +0000 UTC]
maybe Romanesque and a tik of Moorish, because it looks like keyhole?
π: 0 β©: 1
smallsofthamish In reply to andersvolker [2013-12-31 23:32:02 +0000 UTC]
Hmm there could well be a bit of Moorish in there as well. Spanish architecture certainly has a Moorish influence.

andersvolker In reply to smallsofthamish [2014-01-01 11:11:46 +0000 UTC]
Indeed the Moorish coulombs are thin and maybe you could see them hidden behind the door?

Perhaps, if I could have got close enough but, it was a private house and I would probably have met up with a very angry owner!!

A very gloomy and dusty room but there in the corner was a cage and inside fluttering frantically against the bars, was a tiny bird of exquisite beauty... he recognised her instantly.

LilliTheSquirrel In reply to smallsofthamish [2014-01-16 15:07:08 +0000 UTC]
It was Lillybelly Silverwing the birdie-fairy! Who had prisonned her in this awful cage? The little blue bird wanted to open it but there was no lock, no key. What could he do? He asked the witch for help and she waved her magic wand and cried very loud and shrill: "Hokus, Pokus, ugly cage, open or I get in rage!" And the cage exploded....

And the little bird escaped - free forever. She and the little male bird, whose name completely escapes me, (did we actually give him a name?! ) lived happily ever after. End of story!!
