Incredible how much this part of Spain looks like Potosi in Bolivia.
Truly fascinating.

Just a lot smaller! Actually we visited another place in Spain which looks similar to Potosi (checked out images for Potosi) I can't remember the name of the town/village - will have to look at my photo files.

Must Latino villages are marked by the terra cotta tile roofs and balconies above the narrow cobblestone streets. For some reason, mountains are always close by. All over South America are found places like this, but none would be as grand as Old Potosi.

I love the terracotta roofs of Spain. We drive to Spain from England and we know we have arrived when we see those roofs.

So you ride in your motorcar on the ferry across the channel. I wants to do that!

We use the Tunnel mostly because it is quicker and so slick but yes we drive all the way from home to the rest of Europe. Great that, although we are essentially an island, we are still in touch with the World! We did the ferry years ago when we were still young and I thought it was such an adventure!

Jolly good, my Lady. Some folks are not so happy on the ferry, being obliged to chum the sharks from the leaward rail.... I personally love the sea.

Thankfully not too many sharks in the Channel! I too love the sea and I find living in a landlocked part of the country most frustrating. Am not into swimming but I could just sit and watch the sea for hours.

I am the same about forest streams and waterfalls. Anywhere H2O flows freely in Nature, I am mesmerized.

What a beautiful composition!!! The columns of houses joined by a single line of wire parallel to the ground and the hill top - a beautiful balance. If the houses depicts life, then the two sides matches perfect duality of this world - life and death, joy and sorrow, to have and haven't. Scattered snow covered areas are the blessings from the eternity to soothe. Your picture has a devine touch.

Thank you. What a thoughtful and in depth comment, which puts a totally new aspect on the photo. I had thought only of the mountain as a sort of guardian of the town but it is indeed a blessing and I would think provides life giving water as the snows melt each year. I am so pleased you saw in it something which appealed to your spiritual mind.

It is a beautiful little town with channels of water flowing through the streets: water from the mountains. What would I give for a view like that from my front door!! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment.

Thank you. It is a lovely place. So pleased we went to see it. Just have to go back one day. Sadly, in order to see this place we had to miss out on Salamanca - there was just not the time to see both.
