Never tried seccond life but I heard you can make cash from it. Do you earn a lot on such star gates for example?
Nice project anyway

Well, you can make money, but there isn't a high demand for stargates, especially since i can't really find a way to transport between relatively large distances. Or I should say I can't find a way... yet.

Unique...

I respect this peice. I havent heard the name for ages now.

Well done! However a better use of textures would be better .

What software did you use?

This is all done in second life, and I used textures that are available in Second Life. It costs ten L$10 to upload files, and I don't really want to use my card for 10 cents, but if I get enough people interested, I will upload custom textures.

:S. Not sure what you ment by 10cents for something?

Second life? Never heard of the software but im sure to look it up soon.

You probably wont get people interested without custom textures. I'd say, jump straight in. Check our my gallery. Ive done some 3d work in cinema 4d. My first peice which was really basic took about 4 hours. That was because i really wanted it to look good, so i spent loads of time on it. See this: [link] . Another peice i've done. I spent alot of time on that, and my mates think its really good (which arnt on because they arnt artists).

Second Life is a massive virtual world where you can build anything... for a price. basically, you are paying for Linden Lab's server space. I made another gate that did actually move a player's avatar to my recreation of StarGate Command. If you upload your own cutom images, sounds or just general files, it costs 10 Linden Dollars, which at the current rate of exchange translates to USD$0.34.

I know. Linden Labs is really cheap, but making whatever you want to in a virtual world is worth the limitations.
