This is the edited version of Collective Data [link]I took out the mindless blob, I think it does look better without it....
what These things are...
Is a concept I made for Data storage in the future the spikes being the read/writers and such... the Data being stored in the tubes
The entire unit can move As needed..
I may create an animatio of them "in action" so to speak.
hehe or an underwater city

Kinda looks like generators of some sort to me. But data storage works too. Killer work, no matter what it is. I'd love to see some kind of animation of your concept in action.

But I'd try a version where they fase into background colored fog -- just at their very bottoms. It might give the scene more of a sense of distance, which is somewhat lacking.

i don't know about future data storage, but i guess anything is possible.....i think something will come around to antiquate fibre optics, but don't know what....it seems like processors are coming to their limits as currently constructed...oh well, progress. anywho, i like the colors and i like the piece. good work!.....psf
