Looks really good.
I like all the little details added like the trinkets or the fact he's got a bandage on his right hand.Β

Man, I'm completely torn. The sword collecting enthusiast in me is going "that sword is so impracticable to the point of uselessness..." while the anime and story lover in me keeps yelling "THAT SWORD IS SO FREAKING BADASS!!! THIS IS AWESOME!"
I think it's safe to say that the sword cultist in me is drowned out. Definitely can't wait to see more of this guy.Β

I mean no offense by this. I like the drawing and the guy that likes RPG's and other things like that enjoys the picture but...
The guy who does HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and is a realist when it comes to weapons finds the cringy. Mainly the giant sword that has a back scabbard. For one thing the grip looks way too thick for him to grab a hold of; let alone swing it without having a good grip on the sword. The blade is also way too wide; it's more of a steel paddle. Drawing from the back may or may not have been an actual thing before but with a sword that long... it's not going to happen with that type of scabbard. A channel on youtube called Shadiversity has actually made a video on using a certain scabbard he mad to draw a longsword from his back; I'll post the video in the comment if you're interested.Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EWi2D…

Fun fact, swords like the one pictured here actually exist. It's called a two-handed sword and it's primarily used for stabbing.

There's more than just one type of "two handed sword" it's a giant umbrella term. A two handed sword can be a longsword (Which is a slightly smaller umbrella term) or a greatsword like a Claymore or Zweihander. What you call a "stabbing" sword would be called a "thrusting" sword; and that is NOT a thrusting sword. Thrusting type swords have a very small taper toward the edge; not like needle point but small. Thrusting oriented swords would be swords like rapiers (Although some can cut perfectly well) or an estoc.
That would be a classic (somewhat) view on a European longsword or as you called it earlier a "two handed sword". Seems to be based on the Oakeshott type XIIa. And no, not all "two handed swords" are used for stabbing; it's true that historical manuals say that in armored combat you would grab the sword by the blade in what's known as half swording and thrust the sword into the armored gaps, not the armor but the armor gaps. Contrary to what Hollywood teaches; you CANNOT cut through steel (High quality steel anyway and not that stainless steel crap); you can dent or bend it but you cannot cut through it by sword or any other weapon or else why would soldiers wear armor in the first place? As I was saying before; yes, longswords were used for thrusting and some longswords were oriented for thrusting but some longswords were oriented in cutting and thrusting. The sword in the image would be oriented for cutting and thrusting

Yes, but if you don't like it, just say you don't like it instead of giving a lesson on how stuff that's not meant to be realistic should be realistic.

I do like it; honestly. I just sometimes cringe when people blow weapons way out of proportion where a human can't easily wield it without him or her breaking their arms or impaling themselves on a spike
