Hey everyone,Aspiring animators have been asking me for a long time to do a tutorial from start to finish. Well it's time I do that.
I will be doing a series of tutorials based on the gif I uploaded above. As you can tell, some of the gif isn't smooth. That's because I'll be showing you guys how to add "in-between" frames and some "key" frames.
I'll also be showing you how I outline, color, shade, add detail, effects, camera movement and convert the whole thing into an AVI.
I'll also show some of Premiere and how I edit.
I will get started this week and plan to release around Christmas and New Years.
While I have your attention, ask me questions that you'd like to see answered in my video. Thank you!

Lately I've been practicing a bit because I want to make an anime after I get animating down. I'm stuck on if I should use Flash, Photoshop or both, its kinda confusing, because I love the fluidity of an animation you can make with great lines as well as you can add sounds to the animation easily. Although, it's easier for me personally to shade in photoshop than flash, and you can make good effects like, fire, blood and ice pretty easier than with flash, cause I don't really enjoy lots of symbols in my library, lol.
You think you can help me decide?

Training in
- Perspective action camera angles,
- key poses, knowing how far to move before drawing the next key pose (sometimes i have problems with it working pose to pose)
- Camera panning in photoshop( ex. foreground spinning at 0.5 secs but background spinning at 0.2 etc)
- fire, water, lightning, explosion, lens flare, dust, any effect.

i think all the stuff you said you should learn your self smyton is only going to learn new animators/artist/colourartist/editors how to learn how to develope themself as an artist in the end the only one who can learn you is yourself C:

choreography..a more in depth look at choreogrphy (like the action of one character and the reaction of the second character, etc), how to set it up in flash, etc

;u; Awww, thats lovely of you, I have a question. I'm not quite sure how to say it but when you are doing perspective or dynamic animations, how can you be sure that its in that right angle depending how complex you are making that animation it? (Sorry if that didn't make sense)

I think I get what your asking. You're asking how do I know a person or object looks that way in that angle.
If thats what you meant, if I cannot get it right, I'll take a picture of myself and study the angle. After a while I just know how things should look in certain angles. For example, a character running towards the camera. People aren't sure how the legs should look. Took me a while to get that (and walking) done.

Unfortunately you can't zoom in PS. Any zoom you see in my animations is done in post production in Premiere Pro.

Haha thanks Johny. I just remember how frustrating it was when I began animating. A lot of people I know have more talent than I do but don't know the technical parts of the software. I hope to end that so they can worry more about the creative part.

Nick is a badass, and so are his animations. But sometimes his animations are more badass than him which is quite difficult to achieve.
