Description
The man I'm slightly in love with -- Gaspard Ulliel, ie. young Hannibal. He makes me proud to say I'm part French.Anyway, I'm quite satisfied with how this one turned out. Probably a few more nitpick things I should do, but I really must get to my math homework sometime this weekend.... Anyway, working on this cheered me up after yesterday, so it's all good.
(Oh, and, I haven't a clue about Twilight, but I agree with the masses that Gaspard should have gotten the role!)

He is such a gorgeous man. He does make me swoon. I think he would have made a good Edward but the more and more I see Robert Pattinson in behind the scenes pictures, the more I like him as Edward. I think that everyone sees a different Edward though. He's so perfect that he's going to look different to everyone. Robert and Gaspard both are wonderful men who would make wonderful Edwards. honestly I'd take either for myself. 
This image is amazing though. He looks so hauntingly beautiful. I love the different textures, his clothes, his eyes, his hair, the scruff on his face.

Hehe, I'm not quite that godlike. I do draw some unreferenced pieces, but only for original characters and the odd fanart. It's a nightmare trying to capture celebrity likeness sans reference.

Yeah there was a ton of hubbub about Edward. But I think that's because everyone has such a different imagination. Even though we all read the same book and same descriptions, we all pictured him differently. So honestly, not everyone will be completely satisfied. But the more I see Robert in the role, the more I like him as Edward. He may not be completely perfect, but who would be? I don't think it's humanly possible. He sure is amazingly close though. And I think he'll do well in the role. Personally, I'm incredibly excited to see him in the movie.
Yeah celebrities are a nightmare to draw. Everyone knows their face so if you mess up you get told! But seriously, in my eyes, this is quite the godlike picture. Using a reference just shows that you're smart.
Oh you're definitely welcome! I prefer to leave comments telling my honest opinion about the picture. Not just the little one liners that say "it's cool, I like it, awesome job, HOT, etc." I mean really? I prefer comments that tell me what you really like about the picture so I try to do the same for others. Plus I have this curse that I ramble. Which equals these long comments.

Yeah. Being the book nerd that I am, I'm always skeptical about the book to movie transition. Some have done well, others have just disappointed. I think this one will do well though.
Yeah that's true. If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all? Oh well, I try to say something. There are just sooo many amazing artists on here. It's crazy.

Yeah that's true. Some people are soo ridiculously popular. If they already have like 20 pages of comments on one deviation I probably won't bother with a comment, I'll just fave. But for the most part I do like to say something. Yeah I agree. Though admittedly it's not like I'm getting 500 comments a day. haha. So I can always reply to the comments I get. I think it's a good rule to have though. Shows you're considerate. And that's definitely respectable.

Then, there's a good number of popular folks I've noticed that actually do get to their comments and +favs, no matter how long it takes. Those are the one I keep on my Watch list for any amount of time, because it shows me that they're actually appreciative and putting some extra effort in.

Yeah, there are some people on here who have demonstrated that not only are they good artists but they're good people. They appreciate their fans and read every comment even if it just says "cool". Those are indeed the people who stay on my watch list too, even after the spring cleaning.

This is absolutely amazing, I'm stunned!!
Hannibal Rising was a pretty good movie, and Gaspard did pretty well,
concidering he had to live up to Anthony Hopkins.
And I have to completely agree, Gaspard should have gotten the part of Edward in Twilight...
