Adopt from a shelter. Sometimes they have purbred dogs there but mutts are great too!

Please also consider checking out a shelter near you. It's harder to find purebreeds there if you really have your heart set on one but, mutts are just as great.

Just remember the kind of weather you have in your area when picking your dog. German Shepherds and Dobermen should be okay but its still something to think about that far too many people don't.

I would suggest a samoyed! Super sweet things, and they blend into the snow lol (can be high energy though)

Getting a dog is awesome. Its all about finding the right fit for you. Smarter dogs are more of a handful, but i assume you already knew that. Have fun picking out a dog!

German shepherds require a lot of work, but I wouldn't trade him for the world^.^
