Ok, I admit defeat. I’ve been trying to think of something witty to say about your round pretty much since you submitted it, and it’s just too pretty to dishonor like that. The gentle lighting and shades are incredible, the postures of both humans and Pokémon give a lot of character where there are no conversations to do it instead, and the mystery of the piano lady comes off to me as strangely romantic, oddly gentle considering other rounds. The lack of text forces me to wonder what went down in Jo’s head in those last 3 panels, as she seems to be the only participant to NOT have a violent “trial of the house” that had an obvious personal challenge to overcome, leaving whatever part of herself she faced a mystery.

All in all, an excellent round!

The storybook portrayal of this is really soothing-- and must've been really hard to pull off. No dialogue, no detailed facial expressions-- just composition and color to express the mood and overarching story. And, I felt that story and mood clearly. Fantastic work, honestly.

Gorgeous entry! I love the art style, the backgrounds are awesome, and even without dialogue, it tells a cohesive story, and the music recommendation was a fun plus while reading it. Honestly I've flipped through it a couple of times because I like the art so much. Great work!
