This is really amazing! I love how you captured the flower and how you can see the light coming throw the petals. It looks gorgeous! I like how the background is blurry; it wouldn't have hurt it to be a little darker but still looks good. I love the how the spikes on the flower stand out and how you can see the middle of the flower through the petals. It looks wonderful =]

I have attempted this many times before, but it never turns out right.

Somehow, this turned out right.

Firstly, the colors are great. The almost transparent pink, the white and brown in the back...

The small prickly thingys (I honestly forget) add a nice touch. Like the hidden flaw in a beautiful creation.

And of course, your perspective is wonderful.

Original point of view, sometimes a different angle can give you a whole different idea about the same object. In this case, I think the blur background feel a little monotone as there's a bit too much light, even so the light passing through the thin petals along with the micro mode give out the illusion of a butterfly where the petals overlap.
I just state my thought about the picture and I'm not a photographer either, hope you don't mind

This is gorgeous. I love the dusky pink and the way you can see the shadows of the stamen through the translucent petals.
