I looked at the background many times over and I can't find a single thing to critique on it. In fact, I really like how that moon came out. I have to agree with Fifumz's statement on that it does gives focus to the character.
The coloring is a very big strength of this and so is the shading. I really like how his eyes and facial expression came out as well along with the glow effects.

I knew the lyrics were from somewhere (on a side note, i completely didnt realize that his themesong is the same one from when I originally designed him, might need a change of pace sometime xD). This is great! First off, the contrast between Sy and the BG is fantastic and lets him really stand apart (admittedly, he is hard to draw, even for me, on lighter backgrounds as I always want to draw the crystals lighter instead of darkening them like they would in lighter scenarios.) The coloring is also amazing. I know how hard dem crystals are to draw but you did amazing! I love his expression too.
This is really what i needed today, as I've had a rather irritating bunch of situations with a number of things. Thank you so much for this

The eyes are colored so beautifully! along with the rest of the coloring! and I love the ice. Very pretty! I also really like the dark and simple background, it really drags the focus the the character!
