Description
Another technique test using a stock pose, nothing special. Wanted to see if I could make a modern-day version of my fantasy fighting girl, but I don't think this is quite right for her. Hopefully it's OK enough to post. Thanks for viewing!

This particular rendering of Smacky looks a LOT like Serena Williams to me.

Heh, I was just fooling around with that pic. I don't even care for the Williams sisters that much, so any resemblance to either of them is purely accidental. Thanks for taking a look!

This is more like an urban Smacky. Works for me. Great pose and shape. And wonderful details in the face.

Thanks a lot! I'm not sure if a 'real' modern character that it will be like Smacky, I'm thinking a little more of a professional woman-in-a-suit kind of thing...but who knows.

I'm pretty broad-minded when it comes to heroines

I think she'd look great in a Tekken game! haha.
Is the overall bloom of the scene achieved by post work or is the light the main source of it? Just curious about the technical details

Haha, yeah she does look like she could have come out of Tekken. I think the bloom is a combination of an edge highlight using pwSurface and that the background is white. If you use DAZ Studio, the original pwSurface is a must-have (pwSurface 2 gives me odd results and doesn't play nicely with global lighting, I prefer the first one).

Oh I see, well I use Poser, so no pwSurface for me, I'd have to try it or see how a render without post work looks like and try to achieve the same in Poser, I'll look it up, thanks!

Oh I like her! Nice skin tone and the hair goes well with her, and nice pose!
