Most of the armor is actually made out of Vinyl and craft foam, so its really lightweight.

i always thought the metal version of his suit is pretty hard to do but you pulled it off amazingly..ijust love it, especially the head gear

Thanks. I actually found the MGS4 version of his suit harder because of those transparent pieces that he has. Theirs not a lot of good transparent materials to use for it.

Its a craft foam base for the most part, and it has vinyl over it to give the metal look. I used 3m Super 77 to bind the vinyl and craft foam together.

Ok i'll be honest with you, normally i can't stop laughing at most cosplay pictures cause i find it so silly overall (but that's just me, don't take any offense).

The sword is actually made of wood, mostly pine and plywood. Its probably the silver paint job that helps it look more real.

Oh, i actually created the armor shapes by layering pieces of craft foam together, then sticking the layers together with 3m super 77 spray adhesive. Then i used the same glue to stick vinyl on the outside of the craft foam to give it the color and the metallic look. The jawpiece itself though was actually wonderflex, along with the finger pieces. I actually painted the jaw pieces using gunmetal colored nail polish, lol. I wanted something thats safe to be on my skin, last thing i need is lead paint. Craft foam is actually a little bit heat moldable because its technically EVA foam, so i was able to shape it a little by using a heat gun.

Oh, this is actually vinyl on top of craft foam(eva foam) for most of it. I sandwiched together 2mm sheets of craft foam to get all the shapes into it, then covered it up with a layer of vinyl on top. Its great for an armor look that's a single color.
Down side, its not very comfortable, lol.
