What method are you using to do the shading? The ol' dodge/burn trick or something else?

nah, dodge and burn is awesome but if u make a mistake your done

Ah - yeah I always have a consistency issue with dodge/burn. Get these obnoxious highlights/dark spots that take forever to work out. I've started doing it on its own layer so I can blow it away if it gets too crappy and not lose the color.
