OMG I love it, especially because I believe in the fact that theres a connection more than just a similiar apareance betwen Ventus and Roxas because of the conection with Sora.
Im one of the believers that in fact, SoraΒ΄s hearts goes to VenΒ΄s body, and its Ventus heart de one free and "gets" a "New" body. Reason has for why Roxas donΒ΄t feels SoraΒ΄s past as his, and actually feel real emotions.

Well... yeah... but uh... no.
Quick look at what happens: (WARNING. SPOILERS)
Ven and Vanitas fight, forge the x-blade, and eventually Ven destroys it along with Vanitas. That meant Ven lost his heart. sadfaec. Aqua kept Ven in Castle Oblivion hoping that one day he would awake and she would be there.
Fast Forward >> Kingdom Hearts 1
Sora fights a possessed Riku and finds out that Kairi's heart is inside of him. (More proof they should be together I suppose.) Sora uses the keyblade Riku had to unlock both his and Kairi's heart, Sora becomes a heartless, and the rest doesn't really mean anything.
Meanwhile, at Castle Oblivion.
Sora's heart found its way to Ven, where Ven's empty shell (He was a nobody...) then takes Sora's pure heart. My best idea on this is that it takes a keyblade wielder's heart to do things like that. Ven walks around and somehow finds his way to Twilight Town, where Xemnas finds him. Because Ven can wield the keyblade, and he has some of Sora's memories, Xemnas believes that he's Sora's nobody, created way back in KH 1.
This would explain why 'Roxas' doesn't remember anything from his past, why he doesn't believe the visions he sees are his past, and why he seemed to actually have emotion.
